Went to Artisan last night and really enjoyed all the food. It came pretty quick and was piping hot. Exceptional service very friendly and polite - loved everything about the place - will definitely be going back there

We ate here as a group for a birthday meal out. We all had the set 3 course menu and the food was superb. Great cocktails and fantastic service. Would definitely return.

Very nice interior, friendly staff, great food and at a reasonable price. We all enjoyed our meal, my wife had fish, I had steak and our son had pizza. Will certainly return again.

Popped in artisan on a Sunday lunchtime hopping for a table for 4. Was accommodated easily. And food was lovely!

Pizza for one lad, mussels for the other and roast ham for me and hubby. Ham was a bit tough but all the veg and Yorkshire pud were amazing. And the gravy was divine!

Only called in for drink on a Friday afternoon but I loved the decor of the place and it had a great atmosphere. Will be returning to try the food.

I visited yesterday for the first time. I had the Express Lunch for £10.95. The starter of Potato wedges came served with the main of Flattened Rump Steak. The wedges were beautifully cooked, very fluffy with a tasty mayo sauce. The steak was cooked just how I like it with spinach and rocket tossed in a delicious dressing all served by a lovely friendly waitress.

Had an early lunch before Matinee performance at The Opera house food was well prepared and arrived in good time, really good decor and atmosphere pleasant. Will come back again

An excellent 'roast beef to die for' lunch, lots of free flowing veg (not essential as first servings were sufficient - we were just greedy).

Christmas meal with work. Great food, great music. Our waiter, Bogdan was amazing very friendly and attentive. Very short staffed behind the bar though ... Waited over 20 minutes to get a drink!!

We've been before. My partner loves the place. Unfortunately the service was somewhat slow and erratic this time, nevertheless the staff was friendly and keen in rectifying the mistakes due to miscommunication between floor and kitchen. We still had a good time and would've probably stayed for extra drinks if the mistakes we're dealt with differently. Sometimes an apology is not enough.

We visited on Sunday 17th June 2018. The service was great but we were disappointed with the food. We had the Sunday roast and had the beef joint, when it came it looked really good, the gravy was missing but the waiter said he was just going to get it, we both started dishing out the food and started to cut the beef, the beef was ok but I think they should of asked you how you wanted it cooked as it was a bit on the bloody side. When the gravy came the Mrs just poured it on the food only to find the gravy cold, we got the waiter over and he was very apologetic and offered to replace her meal, but we said we were ok but please get us some more gravy, when it came it was very hot and it soon made the Mrs food hot. The waiter was brill, when the bill came they had knocked off a cocktail and the water, he also gave me the Fathers Day present even though I had no kids with me. I guess we were just unlucky as we have had good food here in the past.

Had the Duck pizza a couple of times on previous visits. Last night's offering had hardly any duck on it. Shame. Lovely place though.

This review has nothing to do with the service but when told my duck pizza was going to be without chillis (thinking it just had choppped chillis on top of the pizza) I wasn’t expecting to be bite into a my pizza with chillis chopped into the sauce. Then when I mentioned it to the waitress she apologised brought me a new one, then charged me for a that! Despite the fact it was not my mistake! Really disappointed tbh.

Failure to specify extras used in a basic dish for example- side order of rice is laced with coriander however not mentioned on menu or by server when ordered!! Allergic reactions lead to server pain and discomfort for days!! Offered replacement dish and then charged for that and the original dish ordered!! Nothing taken off the bill or complimented for the sever aftermath caused and almost 2 weeks later still no response from the restaurant after a number of emails!!
