You have fought me what real Indian food is all about, fantastic. From entering your restaurant we were greeted by a lovely young lady, the waiter was amazing he explained what the content of the menu was and advised us down to how Spicey or not the food was. I can honestly say it was the best Indian meal I had ever had even the Nan bread was amazing, such big meals I brought half it home. The service was amazing. Even the toilet was beautiful, and scrupulously clean.Looking forward to my next visit to try something new there is so much to choose from. This Restaurant is 5 star plus for me, it should have Michelin ratings. Thank you once again for the wonderful experience. Regards Joy Harrison.

We came today with a party of 20 and had a lovely experience.. the staff was excelllent we'd initially booked for 16 people but had 4 extra and they quickly rearranged our table and set us up.. the service was quick and food was fantastic... the staff was brilliant with helping us choose what to order and regularly made sure we had everything we needed..considering our order was quitw large with the amount of people we had we didnt need to wait around too long for our food to arrive either.. this is isn't our 1st visit to mumtaz Manchester and certainly won't be our last highly recommend to everyone to visit =)

User

The food is delicious. We had a starter first of all and the portion was large and tasted amazing. our main meal was also amazing and plenty of it. The Restaurant is Beautiful. But most of all the staff treat you like Royalty and are very polite and professional. Will be taking all our family back there. Thankyou we had a lovely night. 👌

User

Me and my wife visited Mumtaz last night, brought her for a meal for our wedding anniversary as we where staying in the hotel.

Oh my days, the meal was fantastic we loved it!! The staff are amazing so friendly!

We are actually thinking about going back tonight after the Manchester United Vs Everton match!!

Worth every penny

Well done guys your doing brilliant, Keep up good work!

Thank you for the Chocolate pud

User

Had a great meal and top service. Consistently good and we're fussy about our Indian food. Anis at front of house is always professional and brilliant. Would recommend!

User

Booked a table for 12 no problem restaurant was really nice and staff friendly food was excellent would recommend and would gladly go back anytime

User

Beutiful place quick service, i had a chicken tikka curry with rice and garlic naan would 100% recommend best curry ive ever had also lovely starter and a basket full of poppadoms , and cocktails. lovely chilled out music , great friendly staff all together a great warm welcoming resturant i could eat the food everyday. Also the decor is very nice. Thankyou

User

Absolutely fabulous place. Gorgeous food and large portions too. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful in every way. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Can't wait to go back.

User

Decent food in this gaff.service cud av bin a bit better tho.hopefully it was just a few teething problems trying 2 break the new staff members into the crack ov the place.wud go again probably.hopefully next time they've got an alchohol license 2 serve cold beers wiv ur food.was the only thing missing really.

User

Great place good ambience staff were attentive but felt a bit rushed... decor was very good also..parking was ample... bit disappointed with food, mango chutney was really hot and totally unexpected as I felt it should be sweet... found it to be tad over priced... but overall it's worth a visit.

User

Food was ok but service a bit strange, we got our starter with our main course. Restauranr was just bought over a month ago so probably finding their feet.

Price wise was a bit steep, especially where it is located just round the corner from Trafford Bar tram and 10 mins from Old Trafford.

User

Definitely not as up to scratch as the Bradford branch. We were seated in the VIP room as it was a big party but where then told by staff that it was a £50 per hour charge to sit in there, which we didnt asked to be put in anyway and then had to be moved!... The food left much to desire. Service was slow and staff didn't seem to fully understand what we asked, no chutneys or sauces were given with food which you normally get. And for rather basic Asian food I thought the prices were way above it's price bracket.

User

Confusion from waiters about the inclusive hotel/ meal deal.Very slow service...even though restaurant quiet and many staff on..No alcoholic drinks served(not a problem) but wasn't made clear with Hotel booking..Trafford Hall...or at entrance to restaurant. Overcharged for food with final bill...should have been soft drinks only...as identified with included hotel/ dinner offer...However...lovely decor and good food...Staff just need to be more aware...and attentive.

User

We went to the Eid gala buffet priced at 19.95. We were 4 adults 3 children 2 requiring high chairs. We were sat at a tight round table which meant one of our babies in a high chair was a little far from me. We sat for a few minutes then were given our menu for drinks and was left to help ourselves. Food looked lovely but they ran out of a few dishes. I was told by I assume manager to sit down and he will bring me lamb chops which he never did. The food was very spicy, I like spicy food but this was very spicy. My son wanted ice cream which was not on the menu as we were leaving we saw kids with ice cream when asked was told it was a part of the menu and need to ask a waiter for ice cream. If somebody had mentioned it we surely would have asked. We received our bill which without seeing my husband paid till he discovered we were charged 140 extra , 7.50 for a 2 year old plus 10.00 service charges. reception lady argued that the bill was right. Finally she clocked on and refunded us 157.00.

So after a debate within the family if we should go for our family meal to bhukaras or Mumtaz in Manchester....how disappointed we are, that we choose the latter!

- On arrival we got a warm welcome

- Our order got taken very quickly

- Food arrived within a reasonable time

- Food wasn't warm...putting a little candle burner under cold food is not the way to serve warm food to your customers

- Staff came over to clear the table between the starters and mains, surely we shouldn't have to stop the waiter to take a half a glass full of lassi or 3/4 full drink glass

- Not once in between our meal we had a single member of staff approaching us to ask us how our meal was and if we needed anything- surely that's basic dining/ restaurant skill! Luckily we were not from the cutlery or the tissues and helped ourselves

- Save the worst to the last, so the above wasn't impressive...to top it up we paid a bill for another table all together!

- The staff realised that we had not ordered 10 nans in fact 2, so corrected the one error. Going through the bill in detail at home we have been over charged approximately £37

- On raising this to the manager we have been advised they will put it as a note on the system for the refund when we go in next,

A- we are not local and not willing to make a special journey for your error.

B- we may not be dining at Mumtaz Manchester for a while after our experience.

C- it's an error on behalf of Mumtaz and therefore this needs to be corrected without anymore stress or inconvenience to the customer.

I would add my experience at Mumtaz Bradford was brilliant and therefore this is even more of a disappointment.

User

Appalling. Waited an hour to get served 3 requests for high chair, wrong order it's all very different to Bradford mumtaz. Will not be coming back. Also got told that 20% voucher will not be issued cos it expired in April yet they are still giving it out. Wrote all this on the feedback form only for it to be ignored. Stick to the tried, tested and original Bradford Mumtaz. Money went down the drain and feel so dissapointed as it was for my nieces birthday.

User

People, don't bother ever going to Mumtaz in Manchester, their lousy staff didn't take my vehicle reg in order to activate the pre-paid parking. I got A parking ticket in the post, told Mumtaz about it, I kept getting told such and such person will sort it, tonight I've asked for written confirmation that the charge has been waived and I get attitude in return. Then the woman got pissed off when I said I've been keeping a record of every single conversation I have had with them. You can keep your grilled halumi cheese starter, I'll go to Nando's and get my halumi fix!!

User

Definitely favours the locals. We felt like intruders. The food was lacklustre and tasteless, I ordered Korma which I would consider a safe choice but was basically fatty chicken and cream. The naan was under cooked and doughy. Our chips were forgotten about so came out cold and dry when we were about done eating. (Though I bearly touched mine anyway). We were told the chips would be knocked off the bill and as we were guests of the attached hotel there should have been 20% off. Neither of these reductions were applied until we asked after checking the bill.
