Coming to Scarborough seafront very soon. The Cleethorpes one is lovely so hopefully, this will be good for us.

User

In Cleethorpes at Suzie's pot of Joy

User

I will be spending the weekend placing orders. Any requests for items from Wheat-free bakery or Jackson's Bakery?

User

Now in Scarborough. First menu's are Pomodoro restaurant (thought they had the name on so forgot to photograph the frontage). Tricolo's, another Italian restaurant Oscars, a lovely little (probably smaller than Dottie's!)100% gf tea Room tucked away behind the market hall. The market does a lovely big Jacket potato with a filling for just £2.70!

User

Bedlam Grange Farm shop & Tea rooms. By now you must think we have spent all of our holiday in tea rooms ... You would be right 😁🤣

User

Wykeham Tea Shop - We had to pop in just to check they were as good as we remembered 😉😊. It is beautiful, They have totally refurbished since our last visit. New toilets & now attached to a fabulous art & craft gallery.

User

Whitby - I've seen all the little huts opposite the strip of Amusements many times, but noticed yesterday that Grandma June's has lots of allergen free goodies & the cakes looked lovely. (Sorry I couldn't get a photo without people on, the crowds were constant yesterday)

User

As we have a train lover with us, we visited this lovely Farmshop/Cafe as it has a great miniature railway to ride.
Fabulous selection in the shop, including fresh bread from Wheat-Free Bakery 😍. (not quite Dottie's prices, but I know where I am going if I run out of bread while I am here)

User

On the way to Scarborough. We have visited this lovely cafe a few times, their range is excellent. Well worth a visit.
Wykeham Tea Rooms & Gifts

User

I forgot to add, the Tea Shop at Pickering (near Lidl & Co-op). Haven't visited since it opened a few years ago, but hoping it still has the good variety of GF cakes it showcased back then.

User

Pickering
The Black Swan, lovely meal last time we stayed in the village.
Willowgate cafe has a separate GF menu
... Russells have a couple of main meals and a few choices of pre-wrapped cakes.
Capplemans Fish & Chips - We ate here on our last visit. They cook chips separately but fish is not battered, so I had a delicious omelette

Picked up a few new names in Whitby yesterday (but had to eat at Quayside 😉)
Robertsons Chip shop over the bridge (excuse the intrusion of our shadows on the photo's, the menu is behind glass)
Becketts (hope you can see the GF soup on the menu but it was in white on glass!)... Cranberry Swamp, on the same road as Becketts
Monks Haven, over the bridge near the 199 steps.

On our journey here we had a short stop for a quick snack. The Wetherby whaler had a good choice but I only wanted chips.

User

Crema Coffee House, Helmsley - Good selection, but do charge a premium for gluten free.

User

As we have come back to the same cottage for the second half of our holiday. I will continue my quest to find great places to eat out Gluten Free in North Yorkshire.
The first few are from the last holiday, which would not upload at the time.
Scotts of Helmsley. Lovely fish & chips, approved by Matthew 😃

We will be taking the second half of our summer holiday (Dottie's will be closed) between 28th August & 4th September. We have split our break as due to the Bank holiday we wouldn't be able to get our bread delivered until midweek and as we have had problems with the couriers delivering late recently, we are not chancing them getting it wrong again by leaving all orders until the following week (our freezers cannot hold any more late delivered bread!) It is very rare we close on a Saturday (only Christmas) but I felt it was right not to expect my parents to come straight back the day after their holiday this time as they can never feel like they have had a proper break. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

User

What a lovely afternoon at Dotties, we had afternoon tea, the food was fabulous, the cakes were delicious and well the scones were gorgeous, the staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome, I shall certainly be going again xx

User

Well I returned again to this amazing tea room. This time I sampled the afternoon tea. OMG!!! It was amazing. I think I had all my treats for a week in one meal. Lol!!!! The cupcake with the strawberry flavoured icing with the jam in the middle was out of this world and is now my favourist cake ever!!! Oh and the scones are 10 out of 10 too. My friend who isn't a coeliac came with me and said she wouldn't have known it was wheat free. Once again the service was top notch and they couldn't do enough for you. This is my all time favourite place for somewhere to go if you are a coeliac. Love the food but also love the staff. Dottie's you are the best!!!!!!

User

We visited today for an afternoon tea and I cannot sing Dottie's praises enough! So much delicious food (I genuinely could not believe how much food there was!!) and all gluten free too! My Ceoliac 6 year old daughter was in heaven. Such a lovely welcoming atmosphere and amazingly friendly service. Such good value too and for such a wonderful experience. Thank you for making our trip so special!

User

We are from New Jersey and our friend told us about Dottie's so we could go there on our vacation. We ate there today and had an amazing experience. The service and food were excellent and it is great value. We can't get a gf afternoon tea where we live so this was a lovely treat!

User

Visited twice for afternoon tea and it was lovely - great food and service! Also ordered cakes and bread for collection, which is so much better than what you can get at the supermarket!!! Definitely worth a visit!

User

Visited for the first time today and I can honestly say it is amazing. The pizza is delicious (and soft), gorgeous cake and lovely atmosphere. Today was the first time I could truly go into somewhere and order anything I wanted. Left with a variety of food (including bread, an extra pizza base and chocolate fingers). Really reasonable prices. Definitely going to become a regular.

User

Thank you once again had a lovely afternoon tea with my daughter in law and granddaughter and all the helpful information xx

User

Really pleased to find a place where I can eat with out having to worry about what I am eating. A friendly place with good food.

User

Our second visit and we’ll keep coming back. Great tasty food and even though we’re not coeliac or gluten intolerant, the food is so good we can’t tell it’s all gluten free anyway. The Victoria sponge was so light and tasty we wanted the whole lot! The wife loved the cherry scone and bought some to take home. Thanks. We highly recommend this tea room to everyone. (As a note to people who are gluten intolerant or coeliac, the folk at Dotties ensure excellent cleanliness and prevent any cross contamination as everything is gluten free)

User

My friend and I had an amazing afternoon tea this afternoon at Dotties, we had loads of sandwiches and cakes, and ended up with beautiful fresh cooked scones. The owners were very friendly. They have amazing home cooked cakes too, and you can takeaway! Thank you Dotties. Well recommend this tea room.

User

Just had another amazing afternoon tea with 2 friends who had never been or had gluten free before. Not only did they enjoy it but they preferred it to normal!! So accommodating, one of my friends doesn't like butter or cheese, and can't have caffeine and they bent over backwards for us. This will be a regular occurrence for us... I can feel it thank you Dotties!!

User

I couldn't believe my luck to have been introduced to this place, literally everything is gluten free. In the 3 years since I was diagnosed coeliac I have never been able to just choose anything off the menu until today. I had a panini and some coffee cake and then took home some tiger bread and caramel custard doughnuts which were devine. Wheat Free Bakery orders can be delivered to the cafe for free collection, and there are lots of Schar products and others to buy and take away. They also do dairy free options etc. I could have spent a small fortune and will definitely be going back. Staff are coeliac themselves and were more than helpful. Thank you!

User

Go here most Saturdays with my 12 year old neice, neither of us have a gluten intolerance but the food is that good you wouldn't know you were eating GF food. The scones and lemon drizzle cake are to die for, and that comes from someone who bakes for a living. Don't change a thing Claire, love it xx

User

Found this place on trip advisor when looking for somewhere gluten free for lunch, not my husband and I had a panini, cake and tea.

Cannot praise this place highly enough, wonderful service from the moment you walked in. Food was lovely, cheap and you wouldn't know it was gluten free. My husband eats normal food and he couldn't tell the difference. Not only did we have a lovely lunch but they also sell gluten free products. We got some lovely looking rolls and some pizza bases which are going to be tonight's tea. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would

User

First of all what a lovely little place my 3rd visit to the cafe we always stop by for tea and cake on the off chance and my son loves the fish finger sandwich ... they also do a range of gluten free cakes for people with an intolerance !! Very friendly staff and warm relaxed atmosphere x

User

Excellent food, friendly staff. My daughter loves it as she is a coeliac, but the gluten free food is lovely whether you eat gluten or not.

We’ve been here several times and will go again. I travel from Leicester and my daughter from Leeds to go, so that speaks volumes!

User

Dotties tea room was a great found.! Perfect for coeliac's. Everything is gluten free.

I went for afternoon tea with my mum who isn't a coeliac, we both really enjoyed it.

4 types of sandwiches and cakes. Along with salad, fruit and pots of tea or coffee on a endless supply......

They saved the best for last!!!!

Fresh warm scones with clotted cream & jam. Homemade.! So soft and yummy Thank you guys for filling my belly! It was nice to have a choice for once.

User

Absolutely fantastic! The food was so tasty, I had a panini and then bread was really good, it didn't taste like some gluten free can do (stuff that sticks to your teeth etc.)! The range of food is incredible and I loved that I could get fresh bread and cakes to take home. The folder of places to eat is a brilliant idea and will become a bible for eating out. The staff were so friendly and helpful, I can't wait to come back when I'm in the area again!

We are from New Jersey and our friend told us about Dottie's so we could go there on our vacation. We ate there today and had an amazing experience. The service and food were excellent and it is great value. We can't get a gf afternoon tea where we live so this was a lovely treat!

Visited twice for afternoon tea and it was lovely - great food and service! Also ordered cakes and bread for collection, which is so much better than what you can get at the supermarket!!! Definitely worth a visit!

Thank you once again had a lovely afternoon tea with my daughter in law and granddaughter and all the helpful information xx

User

Really pleased to find a place where I can eat with out having to worry about what I am eating. A friendly place with good food.

Thank you!

User
